Senegal: Members of Parliament were gifted Prado and Mitsubishi vehicles

Before leaving office in early April, Macky also made another decision that will stir controversy after the diplomatic passports scandal: the list of those entitled to diplomatic passports has been extended.

Les Échos, in their publication this Friday, report that the former President has also provided brand new Prado cars to members of the National Assembly Bureau (vice-presidents and elected secretaries), and Mitsubishi cars to committee chairs.

The newspaper adds that in addition to these privileges, there is a monthly fuel allowance of at least 700,000 CFA francs, not to mention the salary and diplomatic passport for the deputy and their spouse, among other benefits…
