At the same time, he wanted to thank them and, above all, to explain the justification of the amnesty bill.” In this extended meeting, the head of state wanted to say goodbye to his parliamentarians. He also wanted to thank them. But according to the newspaper Les Échos, Macky Sall mainly explained the rationale behind the amnesty bill to them.
The government’s initiative will be submitted to the National Assembly under emergency procedure. The text was transmitted to the President of the Parliament, Amadou Mame Diop, at the end of the week.
