The security unit management, led by Chief Amadou Tidiane Cissé, has released new security guidelines in effect at the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. In the note, the Head of the security unit draws attention to “Users for better preservation of the integrity of individuals and their property on the social campus”.
From now on, students must present a Coud resident card or an enrollment receipt at the entrance gates. Permanent staff of Coud and the Rectorate must also present a professional card at the entrance gates, as per the guidelines issued.
Temporary staff of Coud and the Rectorate must present an access card at the entrance gates. Similarly, vendors (shopkeepers and construction workers) must present a badge or a pass issued by Coud.
Visitors must deposit a National Identity Card (CNI) or a passport at the entrance gates, to be retrieved upon exit. Amadou Tidiane Cissé emphasized the importance of enforcing these guidelines, which take effect from the date of signature. This indicates that things will no longer be the same at Ucad.
