Senegal: Khalifa Sall clarifies his position on the amnesty of Sonko and Diomaye.

Criticized for expressing reservations about the amnesty bill proposed by President Macky Sall for the benefit of Sonko and Diomaye, Khalifa Sall responded to his detractors. “We were against the amnesty because we had an issue with crimes of blood. That was the real problem, as the amnesty did not take that into account. But at no point did Taxawu oppose this project to oppose the release of anyone,” Khalifa Sall clarified in QG.

Khalifa Sall is very happy about the release of Pastef leader Ousmane Sonko and his lieutenant Bassirou Diomaye, who is now running for president.
