Karim Wade once again alludes to the alleged corruption of Amadou Ba, who is said to have influenced the Constitutional Council to eliminate his candidacy. This time, he suggests that we must remain vigilant, particularly in light of a potential fraud during the 2024 presidential election.
“Watch this video available on social media, Act 1 of the electoral fraud by candidate Amadou Ba was to eliminate my candidacy in the presidential election. Now, he will move on to Act 2. Amadou Ba will try to steal the election in the first round and confiscate the will of the people as promised to him by the President of the Constitutional Council Mamadou Badio Camara, who at 1m05s in the audio says ‘…so you won’t lose…’. The subtitle of the phone conversation is not accurate. Let us be vigilant and mobilize to prevent fraud!” wrote Karim Wade.
The leader of the PDS, still in exile in Qatar, accompanied his message with a video containing an audio recording in which the voices of Amadou Ba, a presidential candidate, Mamadou Badio Camara, president of the Constitutional Council, and Cheikh Tidiane Coulibaly, one of the judges of the Constitutional Council, can be heard.
Karim Wade’s tweet included a warning about the video and the alleged electoral fraud, urging people to be cautious and to pay attention to the developments surrounding the upcoming election. The situation described by Karim Wade raises concerns about the integrity of the electoral process and emphasizes the importance of monitoring and addressing any potential misconduct.
It is essential for citizens to remain informed, vigilant, and active in safeguarding the democratic principles and processes of their country. The allegations made by Karim Wade highlight the need for transparency, fairness, and accountability in the electoral system to ensure a free and fair election where the will of the people is respected and upheld.
