The director of the structures of the Alliance for the Republic (APR) and also, Minister of State Mbaye Ndiaye attributes the defeat of Benno Bokk Yaakaar to divine will. He refutes the argument of lack of unity and support for their candidate Amadou Ba to justify this defeat.
“It is not related to a question of representativeness or lack of satisfaction of the population here or elsewhere. It is simply the divine will that has been expressed through the hearts of all Senegalese voters. The voter is the only sovereign who gives power,” said Mbaye Ndiaye on the airwaves of RFM.
He adds: “The extent of this defeat is not related to an issue of agreement or disagreement among the supporters of Benno Bokk Yaakaar or the APR. It is a divine will. This has never happened in Senegal before.”
According to the APR member, the fact that “President Bassirou Diomaye has managed to achieve extremely high scores everywhere is not due to individual will or lack of individual will, it is the will of God. This is what one must understand.”
Mbaye Ndiaye submits to this divine will and asks all Senegalese to accept this decision and wishes great success to the elected president.
