Ousmane Sonko calls on leaders of the Diomaye President coalition to support the President in the success of the Project. He believes that the outgoing President Macky Sall actually lived in solitude and they must avoid this situation for President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

According to Ousmane Sonko, the solitude became blatantly apparent towards the end of the outgoing president’s reign, but in reality, solitude accompanied him throughout his rule, he said, calling on his coalition to do everything in their power to ensure that President Diomaye does not feel this solitude.

“I indirectly had the chance to experience the last moments of the outgoing President (Editor’s note: Macky Sall). And the biggest lesson I learned from it is solitude. But it wasn’t just a solitude at the end of the reign. I realized that it was a solitude throughout his entire rule. But as long as he had things to distribute, he saw people pretending to be around him,” said the leader of Pastef in the presence of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, who on Saturday received the leaders of the Diomaye President coalition at a local hotel.

The Prime Minister thus invites the Diomaye President coalition to support the President by providing him with good advice, but also to show solidarity in the decisions made collectively. He also calls on them to shield the project in order to achieve the desired result. “We all have an obligation to support President Diomaye Faye. I say this not to control him, we know him. And I know that there is no one in this room who has the skills and abilities to fulfill the missions entrusted to him. But, one person cannot manage a state,” declared Ousmane Sonko.

Regarding certain choices that have been made since they came to power, the Prime Minister assures that the interest of the people is being prioritized. “We have taken actions, made choices by prioritizing the interests of the Senegalese people…. We will continue until the end of the mandate. We will endeavor to make the best possible choices for the Senegalese people. There may be mistakes, but no intentional faults,” he promised.
