Khalifa Ababacar Sall, on his second day of campaigning, toured the streets and alleys of Yoff to meet with the local population. He also made home visits to the residents of Yoff. The candidate for the 2024 presidential election also interacted with fishermen and fishmongers, promising to end unjust agreements that do not benefit Senegal.

“Faced with the precarious situation caused by fishing agreements with foreign industrialists, our oceans are being plundered, endangering the livelihoods of local fishermen. Once elected President of the Republic, I pledge to end unfair agreements that do not benefit our country. I also promise to promote artisanal fishing by developing the value chain, particularly by investing in the conservation and processing of fishery products,” promised Khalifa Sall.

Furthermore, Khalifa Sall added, “Together, we can restore the dignity of our fishermen parents and protect our marine resources for future generations.”
