Spectacular turn of events! As announced this morning, the leader of the Alliance for the Republic, Macky Sall, had convened the National Executive Secretariat (SEN) to confirm his “total” support for the candidate of Benno Bokk Yaakar, Amadou Ba. However, the meeting did not go as planned with the SEN.
The information released in the press did not sit well with President Macky Sall, who decided to retract his support.
Infuriated, the Secretary General of the APR reportedly spoke his mind to the political officials and other leaders present at the meeting, which lasted less than an hour.
