The National Meteorology Agency has announced that a layer of dust will be present on Sunday over almost the entire country.

This layer of dust will be denser in the northern half, the East, and the coast during the day on Sunday, while a completely clear sky is expected on Saturday across the country, according to the National Agency of Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM).

In a short-term forecast bulletin, the ANACIM warns that it will be extremely hot in the inland areas of the country, with peak temperatures ranging between 43 and 45°C.

In contrast, the heat will be much less noticeable in Dakar where temperatures will not exceed 27°C, as indicated in the document sent to the APS.

ANACIM’s forecasters expect cool nights and mornings in the regions near the coast, while high temperatures are expected in the East and parts of the Central territory.

Visibility may be affected in some areas due to the layer of dust present on Sunday, the Meteorology Agency adds.

At the same time, the winds will blow with weak to moderate intensities from the Northeast to the East, becoming North to East along the coast, ANACIM assures.
