The electoral campaign for the presidential election on March 24, 2024 comes to an end this Friday at midnight. The candidate of the Benno Bokk Yaakaar (BBY) coalition, after touring all 14 regions of the country, concluded his campaign with a mega rally held at Place de la Nation (Dakar). Here, in a show atmosphere provided by artists and rappers like Bidew Bou Bess, Kane Diallo, Bousso, Big Mo, Aby Ndour, among others, all the political leaders and members of the presidential majority as well as the people and supporters of the region gathered at this legendary place to say “Yes” to the candidate of continuity, peace, stability, and emergence. A unique symphony as a final communion between Amadou Ba and the people of Dakar.

Indeed, coming from all corners of the capital, men and women, young and old, all wearing caps, T-shirts, fabrics, and boubous bearing the image of the BBY candidate, mobilized massively for a resounding victory on the evening of March 24.

The ceremony was opened by Serigne Mansour Sy Djamil who offered prayers for the former Prime Minister to become the 5th President of the Republic of Senegal. With a confident tone and standing on the podium facing the audience, Amadou Ba expressed his gratitude to his mentor. “I express my gratitude to President Macky Sall for his unwavering support and vision. I am proud of your accomplishments but the work is not done (…). I ask you to remain mobilized,” said the BBY candidate. Continuing his speech, Amadou Ba promised to continue President Sall’s work, including the continuation of the Emerging Senegal Plan (PSE). He also reiterated his commitment to the youth, women, and the most vulnerable groups. Finally, the candidate of the presidential movement once again called on Me Abdoulaye Wade’s party for reconciliation within the liberal family for the benefit of Senegal.
