The service providers of the National Agency for the Promotion of Youth Employment (ANPEJ) are currently facing a critical situation. Nearly 100 employment counselors spread across the 46 departments of Senegal have not received their salary for three months. This precarious situation has dire consequences, as many agents risk being evicted from their homes due to accumulated rent arrears.
The service providers of ANPEJ play a crucial role in the fight against youth unemployment in Senegal. As employment counselors, they work daily to help youth find job opportunities and train for the job market. Their commitment is essential to support the economic and social growth of the country.
Despite their dedication and importance, these agents are now in an extremely difficult financial situation. Deprived of salary for three months, they are facing increasing difficulties to meet their essential needs, including rent payment.
