Candidate Cheikh Tidiane Dieye invests in the fields. Friday, March 15 after a “fruitful” meeting with his ally Ousmane Sonko, he decided to continue the work he had been doing since the beginning of the campaign.
Dr Cheikh Tidiane Dieye started his visits to the onion fields of Khelcom Diop, in the commune of Fass Ngom (region of Saint-Louis). These meetings were dedicated to farmers whom they consider to be the “standard bearers of food sovereignty and food security in Senegal.”
While passing through Ross-Béthio, candidate Cheikh Tidiane Dieye emphasized his speech on “techniques and organizational challenges for agricultural production capable of feeding Senegal, generating currency, while preserving the environment.”
The opposition candidate mentioned points that could reform Senegal’s agriculture, including the supervision and training of farmers, the integration of industrial agriculture, the stabilization of the producer’s income sources, endogenous development, etc.
He concluded his speech by inviting young people to “get their voter cards, to vote and to encourage others to vote for the DIOMAYE coalition in 2024, on March 24 next.”
