Dr. Babacar Diop has joined the DiomayePrésident coalition. The mayor of Thiès finally made this decision after repeatedly delaying the announcement of the candidate he will support with his “brothers” and “sisters” from the party.
It is worth noting that the National Conference of Democratic Forces of Senegal (FDS)/Les Gelwaars was convened on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the Thiès Casino. This was an opportunity for the departmental delegates who make up this party structure to consider the alliance proposals put forward by presidential candidates for the 2024 election.
The party’s president, Dr. Babacar Diop, had already met with candidates and representatives of candidates in Thiès who had submitted an alliance proposal for the presidential election.
