Here is the latest Questekki. I started this section a few years ago when Macky Sall asserted that the opposition was made up of incompetents. Obviously, he never responded.

But he will officially leave on April 2 and will be replaced by Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye. The Questekki no longer serves a purpose now that it is a form of calling out Macky Sall and his regime. Senegal has succeeded in upholding the rule of two 5-year terms. A great democratic victory.

I argued that personal data is a natural resource. This starts with civil status. This issue must be resolved.

Young Mohammed Camara from Koungheu has been unable to take the baccalaureate for two years due to an error on his birth certificate issued during a mobile court session. I have not been able to help him overcome this hurdle. Such is Senegal!

Modernizing civil status is imperative in this country. The charter of democratic governance made this clear. There have been few advances under Macky Sall.

New File: What awaits Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Ousmane Sonko.

They showed political genius in ten years by legitimately defeating a former prime minister, their former boss at the tax and customs department. They deserve congratulations. All’s well that ends well. Our democratic model has held up. The rule of two terms is respected.

In any case, the people ended a regime that sought to reduce the opposition to its simplest form. In the end, it was the opposition of rupture that defeated the BBY regime.

Early on, through a tweet, I acknowledged Bassirou Diomaye’s first-round victory to curb the manipulation attempts by the BBY camp and pave the way for a general acceptance of the results. This was done, and I am pleased for the democratic vitality of my country and the credibility of Tekki. Senegal had to be saved from unnecessary electoral turbulence. The economy must now regain its footing after these weeks of uncertainty.

Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Ousmane Sonko must answer Lenin’s question, where to begin?

Mamadou Lamine Diallo

President of the Tekki movement.
