The President of the Republic, Macky Sall, received press bosses last Monday at the presidential palace. The head of state took the opportunity to announce that the press organizations will potentially benefit from tax amnesty and the types of taxes involved. Concerning this issue, Birahim Seck called on the president for clarification, through a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), regarding the potential beneficiaries. “Mr. President Macky Sall, you owe explanations on the potential beneficiaries of the tax amnesty for press organizations and the types of taxes involved. It would be inconceivable for deductions on workers’ salaries to benefit tax evasion or capital,” wrote the coordinator of the Civil Forum.
