An physical education teacher was brought before the public prosecutor of the Mbour court of first instance, according to the newspaper “Bès Bi – Le Jour.”

He is accused of assault and battery resulting in a temporary disability of 15 days for one of his students. The incident took place on February 26 at the CEM Santhie in Mbour, when Mr. Diallo was assigning grades to his students in the school courtyard during the morning.

The incident occurred when one of the students struck Mr. Diallo in the head. Feeling humiliated, the teacher tried to identify the student in question, who was identified by his classmates. In response, the teacher allegedly struck the offending student violently, causing a perforated eardrum. Following a complaint filed by the student’s parents, the teacher was brought before the public prosecutor to answer for his actions.
