On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, the Wakhinane-Nimzatt police station handed over taxi driver B.T. for theft committed with violence, using a means of transport, violence, and assault. This taxi driver is the perpetrator of several nighttime assaults on the VDN3.

He targeted female passengers whom he would rob of their belongings. Once on the VDN3, the taxi driver would simulate a breakdown and stop to check his engine. It was at this moment that he would threaten his passenger and demand everything she had on her. Panicked, she would comply. After committing his crime, B.T. would abandon her in the darkness and disappear with his taxi.

Thanks to this modus operandi, B.T. managed to steal large sums of money, wigs, and cell phones belonging to women, according to sources from Seneweb.

Following several complaints to the police stations, the aggressive taxi driver was finally arrested by the police officers at the Wakhinane-Nimzatt station.

Indeed, one of his victims had taken the care to note down the taxi’s license plate number during a nighttime ride. After her assault on the VDN3, she provided this information to Lieutenant Djibril Cissé’s men. This allowed the investigators to catch him.

Five women came forward to the police following the announcement of B.T.’s arrest. They all formally recognized the taxi driver as their assailant.
