If we review Ousmane Sonko’s statements about Macky Sall, we realize that none of his qualifications, none of his warnings were exaggerated. Ousmane Sonko had seen everything coming:
** Dictatorial practices and presidential indifference
** The killings that would multiply, as well as the raids and torture
** The judicial farces to keep him out of the presidential election
** Dialogue simulations in the midst of plots
** Complicity of the electoral administration, DGE, CENA, CDC, Ministry of the Interior
** The institutional coup
** Acts of election sabotage
And finally, the day of March 6, 2024, has confirmed one of Ousmane Sonko’s predictions in which he warned Senegalese people who advocate for change that Macky Sall will make them suffer more than they could have ever imagined, and then he will have his stooges in the National Assembly vote for a general amnesty under the pretext of peace and inclusive elections.
Ousmane Sonko once again demonstrates his foresight. When he said that “God did not create anyone more cruel than Macky Sall on earth,” can we still doubt it when we see that after all the blood and tears shed in the past 3 years, after criminals were commissioned to inflict the same atrocities on innocent citizens that the Hutus inflicted on the Tutsis, Macky Sall did not hesitate for a moment to propose and order his stooge deputies to vote for a heinous amnesty with the following consequences:
1. Providing total protection to the murderers who exterminated, often by taking careful aim at the head or chest, 85 unarmed innocent young people aged 20 to 25 on average, who are only guilty of not agreeing with him or being suspected of supporting Ousmane Sonko.
2. Keeping these killers in the service of our security forces, whom they have infiltrated, in the service of the APR party whose headquarters they were seen leaving. This allows them to repeat their actions calmly on each occasion.
3. Granting total protection to the psychopaths, in uniform or in plain clothes, who took pleasure in torturing, mutilating, breaking bones, blinding, electrocuting up to the testicles, dragging on the ground, stoning honest citizens, women, children, the elderly, the disabled, the sick, who only wanted change or were presumed supporters of Ousmane Sonko.
4. Providing total protection to those officials and judges who unscrupulously manufactured false files, false charges against honest citizens to destroy their lives and those of their families, imprisoning them for up to 3 years without trial, packing them off to purposefully dehumanized prisons.
5. Providing total protection to those criminals, vile politicians, and sons of prominent families who recruited militias, thugs, killers, and torturers.
6. Granting total protection to the instigators, sponsors, facilitators, cleaners, protectors of all these murders, abuses, and tortures.
7. Providing total protection to those who supplied war weapons, ammunition, pickup trucks, clubs, machetes to these “Hutus” to treat our protesting youth like Tutsis.
8. Extending total protection to the criminals who plotted, defamed, engaged in slanderous denunciations through accounts like ANITA, BATTU DEGG, and others so that honest citizens supporting Ousmane Sonko are rounded up or tortured.
9. Offering total protection to politicians, journalists, presenters who incited hatred and murder, such as deputies Cheikh Seck and Demba Diop – Moustapha Diakhaté – journalists Yerim Seck, Madiambal Diagne, Ben Makhtar – presenters Khadim Samb, Père Ngol Ngol – members of the APR / BBY Ahmed Suzanne Camara, Me El Hadj Diouf, Gaston Mbengue, Talla Sylla 2, Ahmed Khalifa Niasse, Abdoulaye Mamadou Guissé, Pape Malick Ndour, and many others.
10. Preventing the victims of this tyranny and barbarism, the victims of these judicial conspiracies, the victims of vandalism, the families of the deceased, from seeking or obtaining justice. Forcing them, against their will, to forgive murderers, torturers, plotters, and psychopaths who acted without remorse in broad daylight, were protected for 3 years, and will continue to mock them for years thanks to the amnesty.
What is even more despicable, almost sadistic, is to say to:
(*) The 85 innocent youths cowardly shot who were accused of occult and armed forces (according to Aissata Tall Sall – Ministers – Prosecutors), and their families.
(*) The 1500 innocent people who were injured or mutilated and their families.
(*) The 3000 political hostages (accumulated since February 2021) who were rounded up, tortured, falsely accused of terrorists, and others, and their families.
That the initiative for this heinous amnesty was taken to forgive them (sic).
When all of them say they do not want your amnesty, you reply that their opinions do not interest you, and you stand by your unilateral decision.
Of course, none of them are fooled. The only things all Senegalese are aware of are: why and for whom this amnesty was imposed a few days before the elections – who had the power to order live ammunition to be fired on unarmed populations – who had the power to supply war weapons to militias and allow them to operate freely alongside the security forces – who has the power to, for 3 years, prohibit any form of investigation or sanction against the criminals known to all and their sponsors.
Destroying everything in its path, willingly choosing the path of least resistance, going even lower than one could imagine, disregarding the republic, dismissing the credibility of institutions, disregarding human life, is what some courtiers call “political genius,” and the courted pretends to believe in it.
They are right to cite the example of the call for reconciliation and national unity in Rwanda because they have harbored as much hatred toward a category of citizens as the Hutus did toward the Tutsis. They should know that the repeal of this unjust amnesty law as a gesture of defiance to the thousands of victims and their families has become the top social demand of the wounded Senegalese people.
