Some activists from the Benno Bokk Yaakkar (BBY) coalition seem to not be able to digest the fall of the regime. This is the case of Moustapha Diakhaté who hinted that President Macky Sall would be the instigator of the terrible defeat of their candidate: Amadou Ba.
“Macky Sall sacrificed those who were with him since 2008, who fought by his side against Wade and who fought until he was elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2019,” said the former political chief of staff of Macky Sall in an interview with the newspaper Libération.
Without mincing words, Mr. Diakhaté indicated that the outgoing President “sabotaged the careers of thousands of militants who supported him all these years.”
Referring to a “disloyalty towards his comrades,” Moustapha Diakhaté said, “at the very least, it is militant betrayal. The militants should exclude him from the APR for collusion with the adversary (the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS)).”
