Me Abdoulaye Mboup, communication officer of the National Union of Justice Workers (UNTJ), has just been arrested by the urban security of the central police station of Dakar. Me Mboup is accused by the Republic’s prosecutor of making insulting remarks towards the investigating judge Mamadou Seck.
This arrest is related to the forceful questioning of Ngagne Demba Touré in the office of Mamadou Seck, the investigating judge of the Second cabinet. Me Ngagne Demba received unwavering support from his colleagues during this encounter with judge Seck. These colleagues, court clerks under the leadership of their union, took to the streets to protest against the arrest of Ngagne Demba Touré.
