The head of the regional executive faced the press this Friday to update on the electoral process in the region. In total, he indicated that 210,264 voters are expected in the 589 polling stations spread across the 43 municipalities in the region.
The governor reiterated that all necessary administrative and security measures have been taken to ensure a smooth presidential election scheduled for Sunday, March 24. He reassured that the electoral material packaging and security arrangements are already in place at all 377 polling locations.
Regarding voter cards resulting from the revision of the electoral lists, the withdrawal rate is estimated at 65.97%, with 7956 cards collected compared to 5,000 still pending at the distribution commissions. However, the governor remains optimistic, highlighting that voters often wait until the last moment to collect their cards, which, in his opinion, could significantly increase the withdrawal rate.
