Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, the representative of Anambra South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, expressed gratitude to the constituents for their support in the Young Progressives Party’s (YPP) victory in the February 3rd rerun elections in parts of the state. He made this commendation following the outcome of the rerun elections in Nnewi on Sunday.
In the rerun election for Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo, YPP candidate, Mr. Peter Uzokwe, defeated Mr. Uche Elodimuo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to emerge as the lawmaker representing the constituency. Similarly, in Orumba North/Orumba South Federal Constituency, YPP’s Chinwe Nnabuife defeated Mr. Okwudili Ezenwankwo of the Peoples Democratic Party to retain her seat.
Ubah saw the election as a foretaste of the 2025 governorship contest and a confirmation of the belief in his contributions to the development of Anambra as a private citizen and a Senator.
Despite being a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ubah expressed his ability to help his former party, the YPP, secure victories in two Federal Constituencies in an APGA-dominated state. He emphasized that winning an election is not just about deploying resources on election day, but also about consistently serving and working for the people, something he has been doing as a private citizen and senator.
The senator commended the security agencies for their roles in ensuring that the rerun election went peacefully. He appreciated their presence and non-intimidating conduct, stating that their efforts contributed to the success of the election.
Ubah’s delight with the result of the rerun election in Anambra was evident. He celebrated the double victory, portraying it as a testament to their strength as a political force. He attributed the victories to the impact of his work and dedicated service to the people.
The Senator recognized the significance of the election and its implications for the 2025 governorship contest. He took pride in being able to make a significant political impact despite his party affiliations and expressed his commitment to continue working for the people and contributing to the development of Anambra.
Overall, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s gratitude and acknowledgment of the electorate’s support reflect his dedication to serving the constituents and his desire to contribute positively to the development of Anambra. His ability to secure victories for the YPP despite being a member of the APC demonstrates his commitment to political impact and serving the people.
