School reopening marred by Mbarara-Bushenyi crash as Kamuli orders immediate teaching

The reopening of schools for the third term has been marred by a road crash on the Mbarara-Bushenyi Highway that left several people seriously injured, including two students in school uniform, as education officials elsewhere urged schools to maximise teaching time from the first day of the new term.

The three-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday and involved a Toyota Premio, registration number UBP 156S, a Sahara vehicle, UAF 674N, and a Toyota RAV4, registration number UA 619AU.
