In a vibrant atmosphere of humor and solidarity, the New Select in Moroni lit up under the spotlight on Saturday, March 16, hosting a unique comedy show. Samia Orosemane, Redouane Bahache, and the Comores Comedy Club (CCC) provided an unforgettable evening filled with laughter and humanitarian commitment.
The mission of these artists, beyond entertaining, was to highlight the importance of living together, transcending cultural barriers. Originally from Tunisia, Samia Orosemane, and Moroccan, Redouane Bahache, shared the stage with CCC for a noble cause: to support the less fortunate in Comoros, in partnership with the NGO Life.
A reflection on living together
The evening was filled with powerful moments, especially when Samia Orosemane expressed her desire to celebrate African unity, despite stereotypes and clichés. Dressed in Wax and imitating African accents, she brilliantly used humor to promote love and unity on the continent.
Redouane Bahache also addressed the theme of cultural clash by sharing his experience of marrying a Congolese woman, highlighting the challenges and richness of cultural diversity.
Unparalleled generosity
The Comorian audience, already familiar with the humor of these artists, generously supported the fundraising. The evening raised approximately 900 euros, shared between local artists and the NGO Life, demonstrating the positive impact of humor in the service of solidarity.
Moments of complicity and commitment
The closeness of the artists with their audience was palpable, especially when they shared their commitment to the NGO Life, emphasizing the importance of compassion and assistance to the less fortunate. The distribution of one hundred and eighty food kits in Mwali is a strong testimony to this.
Rising stars and committed humor
Among the highlights, Elyachourtu Mohamed from CCC captivated the audience with his bold and touching humor, proving that laughter can also be a vehicle for profound and constructive messages.
This evening at the New Select not only entertained but also reminded us that humor and solidarity can go hand in hand, creating bridges between cultures and supporting humanitarian initiatives. A clear proof that laughter is indeed a universal language.
