Rented wig: Hair vendor apologises to Phyna [VIDEO]

The hair vendor who publicly called out Josephine Otabor, also known as Phyna, a former winner of the Big Brother Naija reality show, has issued a public apology. This comes after Phyna filed a petition against the vendor for the public humiliation she endured.

In a series of Instagram posts, Phyna shared a video and a written apology from the vendor, who goes by the name Dammy, as a means to secure her release from police custody. In the video, Dammy expressed remorse, saying, “I admit I overreacted by calling out Phyna for the rented wig and I want to tender a sincere apology to her. It wasn’t my intention to damage her image, and I sincerely apologize.” She also apologized to Phyna for embarrassing her.

The incident stems from a situation in December 2023 when a vendor, DBeauty Mogul, publicly accused Phyna of not returning a wig that was rented from her after the rental period had ended. Responding to the allegations on her own Instagram page, Phyna denied having any direct knowledge of the vendor and dismissed the claims as being made by clout chasers.

The public apology from the hair vendor marks a turning point in the situation, with the vendor acknowledging overreacting and expressing regret for the impact it had on Phyna.

In the apology post, a video link was also provided for viewers to watch the vendor, Dammy, as she expressed her regret and sought forgiveness.

This public apology serves as a resolution to the dispute between the two parties, with both Phyna and the hair vendor acknowledging the need to move forward from the incident.
