Africa Travel Week (ATW) has formed a partnership with Tourism Investment Forum Africa (TIFA) to boost investment opportunities in Africa’s travel and tourism sector. This collaboration aims to promote growth and development in the related sectors of African economies. The partnership will be featured alongside WTM Africa from 10 – 12 April at the CTICC in Cape Town.

Megan De Jager, Portfolio Director at Africa Travel Week, highlighted the significance of TIFA as a platform for policymakers and investment professionals from Africa and around the world to engage, collaborate, and secure business. This strategic alliance at the 10th edition of Africa Travel Week unlocks the potential of the travel and tourism sector to drive economic and social prosperity across the continent.

The three-day event program for 2024 will include investment opportunity showcases, policy presentations, trend discussions, expert panels, and site visits to various investment project locations. Last year’s summit attracted over 190 delegates and featured 13 countries and regions presenting more than 50 investment projects and opportunities across Africa.

Miller Matola, CEO of Millvest Advisory, the conveners of TIFA, is expecting an even larger turnout of investors, business leaders, and development agencies seeking sustainable projects to invest capital. The collaboration with ATW is anticipated to draw eager investors, influential business leaders, and multilateral organizations. Those seeking sustainable projects to invest in are encouraged to register for TIFA and WTM Africa in 2024.

The strategic alliance aims to create a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing among industry professionals, policymakers, and investors. This initiative will play a pivotal role in driving investment and growth in Africa’s travel and tourism sector. For those interested in participating, registration for these events is now open.
