The Saudi royal Cabinet, citing the country’s Supreme Court, has indicated that the crescent moon marking the start of the fasting month was observed on Sunday evening.
This is also the case in Egypt, where the Fatwa Dar Al-Iftaa confirmed the observation of the crescent moon on Sunday evening, signaling the beginning of the blessed month. Likewise, the moon observation committee in the United Arab Emirates announced that the crescent moon was sighted and the holy month begins on Monday.
The Mufti of Al-Quds and Palestine, and president of the Supreme Council of Fatwa Mohamed Hussein, stated that the first day of Ramadan will be on Monday in Palestine. The observation committees in Kuwait and Bahrain also confirmed that Ramadan will begin on Monday.
The same goes for the Emirates of Qatar, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria.
Muslims in Europe will also start fasting for the holy month of Ramadan on Monday, as announced by various Muslim worship management bodies on Sunday. The management bodies in France, Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Portugal have affirmed that the first day of Ramadan will be on Monday, March 11th.
