It’s official, the National Union for Development and Renewal (Undr), the party of former Prime Minister Saleh Kebzabo, has announced its support for transitional president Mahamat Idriss Deby, the candidate of the Patriotic Salvation Movement (MPS), in the presidential election scheduled for May 6.

To justify this alliance, the party invoked the commitment of candidate Mahamat Idriss Deby to immediately begin the process of rebuilding Chad. “Candidate Mahamat Idriss Deby has solemnly committed to immediately initiate the process of rebuilding Chad, for true social justice and national development.” And this, “with the assistance of Chadians from all walks of life. This aligns well with Undr’s political program,” said the party of “the calabash.”

The National Executive Board of Undr invites all members to conduct a extensive campaign under the banner of provincial, departmental, sub-prefectural, cantonal, and village committees in favor of the chosen candidate, and calls on all citizens to mobilize when the time comes to contribute to the election of Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno.
