President Kais Saied announced that a tripartite meeting involving Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya will take place in Tunis with the participation of the President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi.

In a statement to the media from his residence in Algeria after the conclusion of the 7th Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit, President Saied emphasized Tunisia’s firm stance on the Palestinian issue and the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

President Saied reiterated that the issue concerning Palestine should not only focus on Gaza but on the entire territory, condemning the atrocities faced by the Palestinian people including mass killings, famine, and forced displacement of children and women.

President Saied stated that the international community’s response to the genocide in Gaza shows a more progressive stance compared to the traditional international community.

During discussions, President Saied also addressed bilateral relations between Tunisia and Qatar, especially in economic cooperation to overcome obstacles hindering project implementation in Tunisia.

President Saied criticized parties obstructing project progress, warning that those involved in preventing projects’ realization will be held accountable, regardless of their position. He pledged to personally oversee certain projects to prevent infiltration and manipulation risks.

Regarding his attendance at the Algerian summit as an honored guest, President Saied highlighted the strong fraternal ties between Tunisia and Algeria, emphasizing a new vision for gas-related issues to enable each country to exercise full sovereignty over its national resources.

He emphasized the strong bond of brotherhood between Tunisia and Algeria and their shared history and commitment to working together for the benefit of their people.
