This article is about Luis Figo, Andres Iniesta, and Noureddine Naybet, in addition to the captains of the men’s and women’s teams, Cristiano Ronaldo, Dolores Silva, Alvaro Morata, Irene Paredes, Achraf Hakimi, and Ghizlane Chebbak.

The former captain of the Togolese national football team, Emmanuel Adebayor, was also introduced as the ambassador for the competition in Africa.

On this occasion, the ambassadors expressed their pride in representing the tripartite bid, believing that this edition will bring together the people of both continents and will be the most successful of all.

In this regard, former captain of the Moroccan national team, Noureddine Naybet, stated that the 2030 World Cup will be among the best editions, considering the historical and geographical relations that exist between Africa and Europe, and the passion of the people of the three countries, both men and women, for the sport of football.

During this ceremony, attended by the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, Fernando Gomes, and Fernando Sanz, from the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Naybet expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI who always surrounds sports and athletes with His High Solicitude, which is reflected in the establishment of a roadmap for the development of sports in general and football in particular.

For her part, the captain of the Moroccan women’s football team, Ghizlane Chebbak, expressed her thanks and gratitude to His Majesty the King for His continuous support of sports and the development of a strategy aimed at advancing Moroccan sports in general and women’s sports in particular.

She emphasized that the results achieved by the Moroccan women’s team in the African Cup and the World Cup demonstrate the qualitative development achieved by women’s football in the Kingdom.

Regarding her appointment as an ambassador for the bid, Chebbak said she was very happy, noting that the joint organization of the 2023 World Cup will benefit the three countries and strengthen the bond between their peoples.

The 2030 World Cup will be a success at all levels and will send a clear message to the world about the values of coexistence and tolerance between two continents and three countries, she argued.

“I experienced Euro-2004 and there was a connection between players, fans, and the country. I hope this will be repeated at the 2030 World Cup. I hope it will be the best World Cup ever and, most importantly, that it will leave a legacy for future generations,” said former captain of the Portuguese national team, Luis Figo.

Similarly, captain of the Portuguese women’s team, Dolores Silva, expressed her pride “in supporting a bid that certainly has all the ingredients for success.” “Representing women is a privilege. Women’s football is growing,” she said.

Emmanuel Adebayor, on his part, expressed his immense joy in representing Africa and the legends of African football at this event, believing that this edition of the World Cup will certainly be the best of all time.

In addition to the slogan and visual identity, this ceremony also featured the presentation of the pillars and narrative, as well as the website, official video, and social media pages of this bid.

It is worth mentioning that the letter of intent, as part of the joint bid by Morocco-Spain-Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup of football, was signed at the end of October last year at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, between the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and its Portuguese and Spanish counterparts.

The FIFA Council had unanimously decided on October 4th to select the Morocco-Spain-Portugal bid as the sole candidate for hosting the 2030 World Cup of football.
