She is often referred to as a “force of nature”, a true legend in the world of sports. Her name is known to all and her journey is impressive. The woman in question is a true inspiration for many people in Chad, her name is Assel Némadji Solange.

With fair skin and slender build, Solange quickly revealed her talent for sports at a young age. From a young age, she showed unwavering determination and extraordinary passion for physical effort. She trained tirelessly, constantly pushing her limits to achieve her goals. “I had predispositions that allowed me to excel in the field of sports very quickly,” she says.

With a high school diploma in hand, her love for sports sent her to the National Institute of Youth and Sports (INJS) in N’Djamena, where she obtained a diploma in physical education.

“In our time, integration into the civil service was not complicated and I was automatically integrated after my degree. I proved myself in several high schools here in N’Djamena,” highlights Assel Némadji Solange.

Determined in her passion for sports, our heroine later obtained a scholarship from the Olympic solidarity through the Chadian Olympic and Sports Committee for training in Lausanne, Switzerland, and earned an international diploma in applied sports sciences.

Over the years, she has achieved numerous successes and victories. A high-level athlete, she excels in several disciplines, from football to handball to marathon. Her impressive record makes her one of the most accomplished athletes of her generation, as she holds the national record for shot put.

“I have played in many teams in N’Djamena, the last one being As Croix-Rouge which has also disappeared. I am a coach in various disciplines, also an instructor. I am a technical officer in athletics,” says Solange.

But what impresses most about this woman is not only her talent and performance on the field. It is also her commitment to others and her ability to inspire future generations. She is involved in many humanitarian and associative causes.

According to Assel Némadji Solange, in the field of sports in Chad, women do better than men.

“The Chadian woman must fight to have her place among a multitude of men. It must be recognized that most of the medals won here in Chad are by women. Sociocultural barriers prevented the flourishing of women in the past. But today, even the highest authorities of the country have given their approval to allow the involvement of women. In reality, we even do better than men because there are activities that we organize that men cannot resist,” she concludes.

It should be noted that Assel Némadji Solange is currently the director of studies at INJS.
