During this meeting, the President of the National Agency for Electoral Management (ANGE), Bartchiret Ahmed, requested support from accredited ambassadors in Chad for the upcoming elections.
Accredited ambassadors in Chad and representatives of international organizations exchanged views on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 with the President of ANGE, Dr. Bartchiret Ahmed, at the institution’s headquarters.
During the meeting, the President of ANGE presented the schedule of the various stages of the presidential election, with the first round scheduled for May 6.
According to the President of ANGE, the organization of these elections, which are meant to ensure a return to constitutional order, is of great importance. He emphasized that the results of the elections will largely determine peace and social cohesion.
Given this heavy responsibility and the internal and external factors involved, the President of ANGE requested various forms of support from friendly countries to Chad and partners for the organization of these elections.
Dr. Bartchiret Ahmed reassured that ANGE will take all necessary measures to ensure that contributions from technical and financial partners are managed in accordance with their respective procedures.
