Political temperature in Rivers has dropped significantly – Group observes

The Nigeria Peace and Governance Initiative has observed that the political tension rocking Rivers State few months back has reduced to a great extent.

The group in a statement issued by its President, Charles Obeli in Port Harcourt on Friday, said the declaration of a state of emergency and subsequent installation of Rear Admiral Ibok-Eket Ibas (rtd), who it described as neutral and experienced, as Sole Administrator of the state, has helped to restore normalcy in the state.
