Police have increased their offer to Shs20million for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of Bbosa Lugya Tabula, the prime suspect in the murder of Daniel Bbosa, the Ndiga clan head of Buganda Kingdom. This decision came after an initial reward of Shs10million was announced on March 4. Tabula, a 38-year-old man from Kabango Village in Mpigi District, is currently on the run after the fatal shooting of the Ndiga clan chief on February 25 in Kampala.

Despite receiving tips from the public, the information provided so far has not been credible, according to police spokesperson Fred Enanga. Speaking at a press briefing in Kampala, Enanga emphasized the need for Tabula to surrender to authorities. He also warned that the longer Tabula remains in hiding, the more desperate he may become, potentially leading to further criminal activities.

Enanga expressed confidence in the investigative efforts of the Criminal Investigation Department and crime intelligence units, stating that they are utilizing all available resources to locate and apprehend Tabula. He assured the public that the police are committed to bringing Tabula to justice for the murder of Bbosa.

It was disclosed last week that jealousy, greed, and intrigue were the driving forces behind Tabula’s alleged actions. Tabula has reportedly claimed rightful ownership of the Ndiga Clan seat, causing internal rivalry within the clan. As a result, five individuals linked to the murder were remanded to Luzira Prison until early April 2024.

The authorities are urging anyone with information on Tabula’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in his capture. The increased reward of Shs20million demonstrates the seriousness with which law enforcement is treating this case. Enanga stressed that Tabula’s capture is a top priority for the police, and they are determined to bring him to justice for the murder of the Ndiga clan head.

In conclusion, the police are actively pursuing leads and employing various tools to locate Tabula. It is essential for the public to cooperate with the authorities and provide any relevant information that could aid in the apprehension of the suspect. The increased reward for information leading to Tabula’s arrest underscores the significance of this case and the commitment of law enforcement to seek justice for the victim and his family.
