Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has outlined how he would address Nigeria’s persistent electricity problems if elected president.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, said solving the country’s power crisis is not “rocket science,” but a matter of adopting proven models from other developing nations.
He made the remarks on Sunday while responding to questions on Channels TV’s Sunday Politics.
According to Obi, good governance involves learning from best practices, noting that countries such as India, Vietnam, and Egypt—despite being developing nations—have made significant strides in improving electricity supply in recent years.
