The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State on Saturday successfully held its Local Government Congress across all 18 council areas of the state, marking another milestone in the party’s reorganization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The congress was overseen by a delegation from the PDP national headquarters in Abuja, led by Mr Hillary Okute, alongside members of the State Caretaker Committee.
Speaking at the Oredo Local Government Secretariat, the State Caretaker Chairman, Tony Aziegbemi, hailed the exercise as a “rebirth” for the party both in Edo and nationally.
