Umar Sani, a former Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to ex-Vice President Namadi Sambo of Nigeria, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was given some serious conditions by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, before peace could return to the party.

Speaking on Arise News on Monday morning, Sani said that the former Rivers State governor stated that the party must not contest the 2027 presidential election, or he would fight to the finish.

The PDP chieftain said that when the party could no longer continue to fight to the finish, it decided to hold its national convention, during which Wike and ten others were expelled from the party.
