Participate in the peaceful transition of power, PLU tells Ugandans

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has called on Ugandans to support what it described as a “peaceful transition of power”, drawing a parallel between its campaign for Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 2031 presidential bid and the armed struggle that brought the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to power in 1986.

PLU Secretary General Twala Fadil said Ugandans who did not participate in the five-year bush war that preceded the fall of President Milton Obote’s government should now take part in what he described as a peaceful political transition.
