After 2006, 2011, 2021, 2024 will be the 4th presidential campaign for Pahimi Padacké Albert. Convinced that only he can beat Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno at the polls, the president of the Chadian National Democrats Rally Party (Rndt-Le Reveil) aims to reform Chad through good governance. “The good governance that we want to establish is reflected in a commitment to efficiently manage public affairs, starting with the governance of diversities and being accountable for our management; To intensify the fight against corruption in a context of peaceful alternation accepted at the highest level of the State and supervised by a limitation of mandates. This will pave the way for the re-foundation and construction of a new Chad, peaceful, just, united and prosperous,” explained the 58-year-old civil administrator from the province of Mayo Kebbi Ouest.
The third candidate in the presidential election on May 6 also plans, among other things, to break the vicious circle of hatred and ethnic and religious division; to put an end to violence, war and instability “created for more than half a century in order to facilitate the emergence of a just and equitable Republic for all its children.”
And although some of the political class and the Chadian population have doubts about his real opposition to Mahamat Idriss Deby, for whom he was once prime minister, “the leader of the White Cock” is not concerned.
Having been a member of the government several times, heading several ministerial departments (Finance, Justice, Trade, Mines and Energy, Agriculture, Posts and Information and Communication Technologies) and Prime Minister (from February 13, 2016 to May 4, 2018) under the reign of the late Marshal Idriss Deby, Pahimi Padacké Albert reveals that these various positions have allowed him to acquire the necessary experience to steer “the Chad boat” to safe harbor. “Steering the Chad boat requires from the one who holds the rudder a deep knowledge of the world we live in and of the state as a whole, as well as a clear vision of the direction this boat should take. I have been able to acquire, during nearly three decades at the heart of the state apparatus and in various positions of responsibility, a panoramic view of the functioning of the State at the executive and legislative levels, as well as internationally. It is time to give back to the nation what the Republic has given me: experience,” he affirms.
