The call for applications is open to individuals of all ages, with no specific theme required for submission. The only stipulation is that projects must be relevant to the expertise of the mentor with whom the applicant wishes to collaborate.
Applications must be submitted in English through the online application form on the Forecast website by 26th February. Before applying, potential applicants are encouraged to review the guidelines, terms and conditions, and FAQ sections on the website.
Creative individuals have the opportunity to submit project ideas for consideration to work with one of several mentors, including choreographer Alice Ripoll (Brazil), designer Fiona Raby (UK), photographer Lieko Shiga (Japan), artist Theo Eshetu (UK), documentary filmmaker Tomer Heymann (Israel), and composer and performer Ute Wassermann (Germany).
The application process will require basic personal information, the selection of a mentor to work with, a description of the core concept of the project, a detailed proposal in PDF format, a portfolio, curriculum vitae, and a brief description of the applicant’s life and career highlights.
Overall, the project proposal should clearly define the idea, outline the content and format of the participation at the Forecast Forum and Festival, explain how the project could benefit from the mentorship, and articulate the applicant’s expectations of the mentoring process.
For more detailed information on how to apply, applicants are encouraged to visit the Forecast website.
According to the organizers, the mentors for the 2024 and 2025 edition of Forecast Mentorships are boundary-pushing and experimental, challenging the conventional definitions of their respective fields.
