Only 38 percent of women in Uganda are satisfied with reproductive, maternal and child health services, a new assessment by Makerere University School of Public Health has found, highlighting persistent gaps in quality, access and patient experience.
The findings, based on an early evaluation of the Empowering Women for Better Reproductive Health Outcomes (EMPOWER) programme implemented by Pathfinder International across 50 districts, show that while Uganda has made progress in reducing maternal and child deaths, key weaknesses remain in service delivery and inclusiveness.
