The President of the Liberators, providing an update on the Alliance for Political Transition, explains the two possible strategies he has initiated.

For a transformative transition in Cameroon, Professor Olivier Bile has developed a strategy based on two hypotheses: hypothesis A and hypothesis B. This was presented by the President of the Liberators during the Tic au Tac program on G&J Media last weekend. In response to the question of whether the alliance of opposition actors could lead to a transition in Cameroon, the politician elaborated on the two hypotheses.

According to him, hypothesis A starts with the observation that Cameroon is a country in a multifaceted crisis. There is an infrastructural crisis with a deficit in potable water and electricity production; communication networks that leave much to be desired; a socio-economic crisis, and the security crisis in the Northwest and Southwest regions. Given the seriousness of the situation, it is imperative for the President, Paul Biya, to act like the “ploughman and his children.” Therefore, he should form a transitional government that takes into account the country’s situation and includes various stakeholders.

Hypothesis B, on the other hand, envisions a transition through the ballot box with the contribution of the Cameroonian people as a whole. This will be implemented in case the Yaoundé regime is not receptive to the idea of forming a transitional government. Olivier Bile, his allies, and the Cameroonian people will participate in the local elections in February 2025 and the presidential elections in October 2025 to elect new leaders capable of restructuring our country. In the presidential election, the opposition will choose a candidate according to defined criteria, who will have a chance at leading a transition in Cameroon.
