The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State says it has reached a mutual understanding with the families of the two late members of the Kano State House of Assembly on how they will be replaced.
Speaking in an interview with DCL Hausa, the state chairman of the party, Dr. Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, said the agreement followed wide consultations led by the party’s national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
According to Dungurawa, Kwankwaso met with key party leaders and members of the bereaved families at his residence in Kano, where they discussed the way forward.
“There is understanding and respect on all sides. We sat down, talked frankly, and agreed on the process,” Dungurawa said.
