NNPP dissolves Kano executives amid internal rift

The National Working Committee, NWC, of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has dissolved the party’s executive committees in Kano State at the state, local government and ward levels.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr Oladipo Johnson, announced the decision in a statement issued on Friday.

According to Johnson, the dissolution followed an emergency meeting of the NWC and was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the party’s constitution.

He disclosed that the NWC has also resolved to constitute caretaker committees to oversee the affairs of the party in Kano State pending further directives from the national leadership.
