Umar Shehu Idris, a prince of Zazzau and son of the immediate past Emir, has sadly passed away after a brief illness.
In a statement on Tuesday by Abdullahi Kwarbai, Media and Publicity Officer of the emirate, the late prince died suddenly, dispelling earlier rumours of a motor accident along the Kaduna-Abuja Road.
Mr Kwarbai clarified that the prince’s funeral prayers would be held at the emir’s palace on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
