Abdulmalik Zubairu, the esteemed Member of the House of Representatives for Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, has shown exemplary leadership by sponsoring a much-needed Medical Outreach program to assist over 500 patients with Ear, Nose, and Throat (E.N.T) cases within his constituency.
The initiative, as announced in a statement released on Thursday in Gusau, the state capital, by Aminu Lawal Bungudu, Technical Assistant Strategy, Media, and Communications Office of the lawmaker, was conducted in collaboration with the consulting firm “SUBEEY AUDIOLOGY CLINIC” located at Fadama Plaza in Gusau.
This program comes on the heels of Zubairu’s successful partnership with the National Headquarters of the Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN), where a medical outreach was organized, treating over 1600 patients with various ailments, including surgical cases, free of charge.
The E.N.T outreach, carried out in both Bungudu and Maru LGAs on Tuesday, March 5th and Wednesday, March 6th, included comprehensive services such as diagnosis, treatment, distribution of drugs, referrals, and provision of hearing-aid facilities.
The main objective behind this initiative was to ease the financial burden on households grappling with medical issues, especially in times of economic hardship. Hon. Zubairu emphasized, “I consider it crucial to collaborate with governmental and non-governmental organizations to ensure that my constituents can access their health needs with relative ease, given the economic challenges they face.”
A total of 507 patients from Bungudu and Maru LGAs were consulted and treated during the two-day exercise, showing the lawmaker’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of his constituents. Zubairu reiterated, “We stand firm in our dedication to exploring avenues to provide relief to our constituents and improve their quality of life.”
