Nigeria: Yobe announces temporary closure of 3 weekly markets — Africa Links 24

Yobe State Government has announced a temporary closure of three weekly markets for counter-insurgency operational reasons.

They are Katarko, Kukareta and Buni Yadi weekly markets.

This is contained in a statement by Brig.-Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam Rtd, the Adviser to Governor Mai Mala Buni on Security Matters.

He said the closure would pave way for proactive engagements, and consolidate on successes recorded in the operation across the state.
