Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has expressed his satisfaction with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Despite his ongoing rift with Fubara, Wike stated that he is delighted to be part of the APC government that is leading Nigeria towards its promised land. He commended Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ during his inspection of key projects in Abuja, noting that the desired change is evident to Nigerians.

Wike’s comments were made on Thursday, March 28, as he visited road projects in Gabu-Igu and Saburi in Abuja Municipal Area Councils respectively. He emphasized that Tinubu’s government is not only impacting urban areas but rural regions as well. Wike assured that the ongoing projects would be completed as scheduled and pledged to commence new ones once the FCTA’s 2024 budget is approved.

However, Wike’s feud with Fubara, the former Rivers governor, has been widely reported. Despite his earlier claims of being unbeatable in the 2027 election due to the alliance between the PDP and APC in Rivers state, Wike seems to be facing challenges with key party members supporting Fubara and Tinubu.

Significantly, prominent figures in the opposition PDP, including former national chairman Prince Uche Secondus, have declared their support for Tinubu. The minister appears to be losing political ground in Rivers state as key PDP members align themselves with Governor Fubara.

In a related development, Boniface Emerengwa, a member of the House of Representatives from Rivers state, publicly declared his support for Governor Fubara, renouncing his long-standing alliance with Nyesom Wike. This declaration was made during a visit to Governor Fubara in Port Harcourt on Monday, March 25.

It is evident that the political landscape in Rivers state is experiencing significant shifts, with key players aligning themselves with Governor Fubara and President Tinubu. Despite the ongoing rift between Wike and Fubara, Wike remains committed to supporting Tinubu’s government and working towards the development and progress of Nigeria.

In conclusion, Nyesom Wike’s endorsement of President Tinubu’s administration highlights the evolving dynamics of Nigerian politics and the alliances being formed within the political landscape. As the political scenario continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how these developments will shape the future of governance in Nigeria.
