The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has dismissed claims that the Nigeria Police Force is opposed to the creation of state police, saying the force is ready to work with relevant authorities to ensure its success.
Mr Disu said the establishment of state police would not threaten the role of the federal police but would instead strengthen security through collaboration.
